ASVOFF 5 in PARIS

Im back from Paris. It was great to see Papercut on the big screen at the Pompidou Centre!

Rossy de Palma gave a performance with musician Alexander Zekke on the opening night

There was a screening of William Klein’s Qui etes-vous Polly Maggoo?

Here are a couple of films from the festival below…

I especially enjoyed Hors D’Oeuvre by Monica Menez. Awarded – Best Art Direction. Her use of colour  and set design was amazing.

Also somewhat different but have a look at this video  Danny directed by Goran Grahovac (for the designer Tom Van Der Borght)

Music video with the band Kenji Minogue

Kenji Minogue performed in David Lynch’s Club Silencio  at the Afterparty. They were totally mad but brilliant.

Coming soon ASVOFF 5

Just heading off to Paris to ASVOFF 5. PAPERCUT has been selected to be screened at the festival alongside work by Tim Walker/ Catherine O’Gorman, Johan Renck , Alex Turvey, Ellen Von Unwerth and more. I cannot wait!! xx

ALDO SS12

Ever since I saw the amazing ALDO shark head posters last year I have been meaning to post them up. But first check out Terry Richardson’s colourful slow-motion video for Aldo SS12 directed by Barnaby Roper below…

Also some favourite pics below from the Dress the part with Aldo and Life’s a beach series

PAPERCUT – LET THEM EAT CAKE

The video is now up. Check it here -  Let them eat cake

Hope you enjoy it!

CHANEL

I absolutely LOVE the video ‘Shade Parade’ by Chanel. See the video below…

Also definitely worth having a look at is Chanel’s  ’Here comes the beauty Pack’.  Lipsticks and Robots – what more could you want?! brilliant.

Wooden dance machine

I love this wooden dance machine Kathryn Ferguson created in her video ‘Tingel Tangel’ parodying the old chorus lines of the 1920′s. Ferguson was apparently inspired by an old photograph of a wooden dance machine from a Weimar Berlin Cabaret show.  See video below.

Director : Kathryn Ferguson
Camera woman : Julia Tinglestad
Music : Scuta Salamanca
Dancers : Beatrice Brown and Paloma Faith
