Dee and Ricky
Demetris and Ricardo Jackson, both 23, are twin brothers behind the eponymous accessories line ‘Dee and Ricky‘. They also two-thirds of the internationally famous recording rap and dance group Jackson Swinton. Dee & Ricky sell bow ties, brooches and belt buckles made of colorful lego bricks. The stylish Lego duo, are from Staten island, NY where their masterpieces are created.
While attending a party in the Hamptons in the summer of 2007 they were spotted by stylist Jason Preston wearing a Gucci Lego belt. Preston in turn introduced them to designer Marc Jacobs. Dee and Ricky went on and designed a full range of Lego accessories for the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring ’08. In 2010 they collaborated with G-shock producing a limited edition chronograph – an extra-large analog/digital with the Dee & Ricky design. Their signature belts and heart-shaped brooches are sold internationally and have been worn by celebrities such as Kanye West, Beyonce, Nigo Murakami and MIA. The duo have also been involved in advertising campaigns for clients such as Puma, Nike, Supreme, and A New York Thing.
