Just finished the last class on the stopmotion course I am running at Vancouver Film School. This time the focus was LEGO and the students chose an underwater theme! The group consists of Amie Bennett, Jullian Ablaza, Thomas Mckeen, Teresa Huesca with additional lego building support from Jane Haezer! The final edit will be delivered to me on Friday. Cant wait to see!!
Here is a short test I made featuring an animated rainbow made from boxes and colour explosions taking over the studio at Nobasura. It was shot over a few days. Madame Peripetie aka Sylwana Zybura is a Polish conceptual photographer based in Germany. She uses various fabrics, patterns and objects in her work whilst exploring the boundaries between surreal high-fashion, sculpture and the human body. Her influences are surrealism, dadaism, the new wave era of the 80s, British post punk scene and the avantgarde theater of Robert Wilson. Here are some of my favourites;

Absolutely love these shots from her bird series. Beautiful colours and the combination of the matt painted background in contrast to the colourful feathers and fabric textures is stunning. There is mention she is currently experimenting with stop-motion films. I cant wait to see the results.
