HARK : Andrew Macgregor & Audrey Roger

DON’T MISS the private view of HARK at the Old Shoreditch Station in London on the 26th Jan!!!

My amazing friend Audrey Roger is colloborating with Andrew Macgregor and it looks like its going to brilliant. The duo are apparently creating paper landscapes of totem poles and shamanic stalactites woven together by an array of mirrors and lighting design. The focus of the project is a stop-motion animation film which I cant wait to see. Im sad to miss the private view but looking forward to seeing images.

Happy Birthday

Guess what arrived for me this morning…an amazing present from my friend in London who is mad at DHL for taking two weeks to deliver! Im chuffed to bits. Looking through my bday mini super 8 viewer – this is what I saw…

See the video he uploaded below showing the super 8 viewer and content. At 00.18 secs you see the footage of awesomeness! Just brilliant!

Rainbow boxes

Here is a short test I made featuring an animated rainbow made from boxes and colour explosions taking over the studio at Nobasura. It was shot over a few days. I have been meaning to post it up and finally have had some time to edit into a short colourful clip for the blog – hope you enjoy it! and THANKS NOBASURA ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Vincent Morisset / Emilie Simon

Canadian Arcade Fire director Vincent Morisset collaborated with French singer and composer Émilie Simon in creating interactive videos for four of the tracks on her latest album, The Big Machine.  Photographer John Londono and illustrator Caroline Robert were also involved in the project. The films were shot during a day in Brooklyn -love the styling and symplicity.. In the videos they use a Thaumatrope to create simple animations. Each of the short clips is interactive – to have a play go here

Angry Pandas

Talking of miniatures have a look at the miniature set my friend and frequent collaborator Geoff Howell made below for a project  he is currently working on. Apparently its going to feature angry super rich pandas and flying jets! I cant wait to see the finished film. Its going to be awesome…..
